exhibITion: Grow with the Flow

amshot’s art opening, exhibITion: Grow with the Flow, featured OKC-based artist Sarah Day-Short.

Sarah’s passion for materials and process transcends traditional boundaries, and her multimedia artwork spans printmaking, painting, epoxy resin casting, cyanotype, and poetry. Since 2009, Sarah has showed her work in solo and group exhibitions across Oklahoma, and her functional resin art and prints can be found in regional retail outlets.

ExhibITion: Grow with the Flow benefited the Homeless Alliance, a nonprofit organization committed to ending long-term homelessness in OKC by building the capacity of the community. Sarah volunteers with the Homeless Alliance’s Fresh stART art program and has long donated a portion of her sales to support its mission.

All wristband donations and 10 percent of art sales at exhibITion: Grow with the Flow benefited the Homeless Alliance. Guests 21+ enjoyed wine and beer from our brewery sponsor, Prairie Artisan Ales.

In exhibITion: Grow with the Flow, Sarah explores the interconnectedness of nature’s cycles and the human experience, inviting viewers to reflect on their own journeys and connections to the world around them.

“This work is inspired by the beauty of the seasons and ever-changing nature. From the big picture lifetime seasons, to the small-scale monthly cycles, we are in a constant state of change. We can choose to fight it, or we can grow with it. Go with the flow, grow with the flow,” Sarah says.
