Sam Washburn
Sam Washburn is an illustrator and designer who has been working professionally since 2009. An avid doodler since the age of five, Sam loves teaching and exploring new methods of art production.
Sam has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis and a Master of Fine Arts degree from the College of Fine Arts and Design at the University of Central Oklahoma.
His work has been recognized by American Illustration, 3×3, Creative Quarterly, the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles, CMYK and the Oklahoma City American Advertising Awards.

SAM WASHBURN ORIGINAL ILLUSTRATIONS
amshot Art Installation
Sam met amshot’s Michael Thomas and Rick Alliss as members of the OKC Midtown Rotary Club, an arts-focused service organization, and amshot’s leaders commissioned him to illustrate 58 custom art pieces for amshot, each of which represents a defining characteristic of the organization.
When the 58 pieces are combined, they become amshot in a nutshell—both figuratively and visually. The illustrations not only figuratively represent the facets of amshot, but they visually come together to become a new art piece that represents the company as a whole.
The art piece, installed in amshot’s front lobby, was unveiled at the grand opening of Sam’s exhibITion on September 27th, 2018. Many of Sam’s other playful, tongue-in-cheek prints will be displayed on the walls of amshot’s office and available for purchase through the end of the year.
