The ideal candidate will be able to work in a team to implement and test solutions for our clients. As a Systems Engineer your expertise is needed to work on servers, networks and other systems during changes that are managed as projects.

Position Summary:

The Systems Engineer position is responsible for the development, documentation, configuration, and deployment of hardware or software within the IT environment.

Essential Functions Statement:

• Design and oversee the development and installation of new hardware and software.
• Install and configure operating systems and other software; routinely test installed software for glitch detection and other issues.
• Document work completed for both customer and technical needs
• Monitor existing systems to ensure structural integrity.
• Provide technical direction to IT support staff.
• Ensure constant availability of technical resources.
• Design and implement security systems and redundant backups to maintain data safety.

Supervisory Responsibility

This role has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and work shift may change in accordance with business needs.

Required Education and Experience

Education: Highschool diploma or GED equivalent

Experience: 5+ years’ experience in system engineering and IT support with experience in installation and maintenance of LINUX-based software.

Computer Skills: Microsoft 365, Windows OS, PC Equipment, and Server hardware.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Must be able to accomplish all duties with little to no assistance.

Must have a valid driver’s license.
