Roger Hernandez got his start in IT as a configuration/hardware Technician for HP, working on everything from hardware to software configuration and support. He then landed a position at Walmart handling automation engineering for their help desk, where he founded and served as the team lead for the Home Office Client Automation Engineering Team. He then moved up to Walmart’s internal software development organization called Global Business Solutions, working as a senior developer and individual contributor for several awesome projects. Did we mention his Software Developer skills are mostly self taught?

At amshot, Roger is drawn to a challenge and lives for problem solving complex issues with his team. He is inspired by his faith, family, and community.

Roger is a man of many talents. In his free time, he enjoys playing guitar and mixing music. He is also super into 3D printing, robotics, Arduino programming, electrical engineering, and amateur radio. What’s more, he serves on his church’s production team, managing cameras, lights, and audio mixing. Some say he’s still attaining new hobbies to this very day…
